Nogen der roder ned #lora og #meshcore i Danmark/Sjælland?

Har skiftet fra #meshtastic. Ser ikke ud til at der er meget aktiviteter med MeshCore.

Find mig på 62,5KHZ/11/5

So when it's this easy to get a MITM going things like making posts in public chats as anyone you want feels kinda low key.

But I do hope that extended warranty works out, everyone seems pretty concerned about them.

The first new tool is lorapipe, a firmware that runs on most consumer LoRa radios.

We've tested it a ton on ESP32-S3 based Xiao Wio boards.

This turns your lora radio into extremely minimal serial device that sends and receives packets in a dirt simple CSV format.

The radio can be tuned on the fly to switch between meshcore, meshtastic and LoRaWAN sync words and frequencies.

I've been busy as hell this past week.

A lot of people have been asking hard questions about the security of LoRa systems when they hear about mesh radios.

I'm not one to trust the marketing so I and several friends put together two new LoRa tools to help us audit the security claims of LoRa mesh systems!

🤘🏿 📡 ✨

The RSGB LoRa balloon challenge has been so popular that we’ve updated the manual (now v 1.7) with two new links to help you find a LoRa board to buy for the challenge – happy building!

Read the manual, and find out more about the challenge via rsgb.org/lora-balloon

Why not check out your local Amateur Radio Society and get involved?

#MakeShitMonday, another #Meshtastic edition...

Put together a couple of RAKWireless WisBlock B1 kits at the end of last week and installed them in a custom 3D printed case that a friend designed that takes a housing for an 18650 battery. Involved a little bit of soldering, crimping a JST connector (then re-stripping the wires and re-crimping after I messed it up the first time, then adding a little super glue to keep the crimped leads in the JST connector - LOL).

Now @llorenzin and I have a couple more #LoRa mesh radios to play with!

Slammed my head several times against a wall but I think I got it running. This is a rather old #LoRa Gateway running on a #Raspberry Pi 2 Model B Rev 1.1. Heck I had to download the system twice because this is 32bit and I went for 64 first thanks to muscle memory o0

Still no idea what I'm doing but it started chirping and is marked as UP in the GW overview of #TheThingsNetwork. Will start to play with the sensors I got on another day 🥱

@adisonverlice IDK about FCC regulations.

All I know in #Germany is that @BNetzA does allow #data transmissions on select CB radio channels in that 27MHz band which is also an #ISM band where they are tertiary users.

  • And whilst licensed amateur radio operators are not allowed on it, unless one violates #SpectrumRegulatioms by using a transmitter not certified for compliance and/or illegal transmission amplifiers and/or excessively and disruptively acts on it, noone really cares.

There are bigger #SpectrumViolators with higher priority for them to search & arrest, like unlicensed and illegal users of restricted frequences like fmr. 2m & 4m emergency services radio bands, illegal #UHFSATCOM in the 243 MHz band among other things.

I've spent a lot of time organising my 3D CAD designs. Way too much time.

How long before I forget where I put something?

There's a lot of love for #freecad here but I just can't get my head round it. My chosen CAD tool is OnShape....but here's the good thing.... everything I do on OnShape is public, so if you're a fan of FreeCAD then you can import any of the crap I design.

Today's fun was with #LoRa enclosures for #APRS and #Meshtastic.
