Today has been a good at the maker space, one member was rebuilding their bbq in the welding area, another was repairing a fan, I was working on my little d-bit cutters, and a group of young students were working on doing the composite lay up of a part for a solar powered boat.
I love the way people are working on such varied and interesting projects. The community of support and knowledge sharing is also wonderful.
Today has been a good day.

Custom fuse & relay box installed. 
Printed the outer frame in PETG and used PC for the relay holders for better heat resistance.
Fits in the original location and holds:
• Eaton fusebox for 20 blade fuses
• 5 relays (standard 4 or 5 pin)
• headlight dimmer
• turn signal flasher

Los Alamos Makers' new #Sewing Meetup met for the first time last night. (They had an old sewing meetup but it stopped during COVID.) I'm not an absolute beginner at sewing, but I'm not good, because I have terrible sewing machine juju (the thread always balls up underneath). But with help (and trying three different sewing machines because the first two had problems - my juju is still there) I designed and finished a phone case on the first night. \o/

Practicing on my new #MechanicalKeyboard PCB - he did one hotswap socket as a demonstration, then I did nine (finished a strip of 10). One fell off, but that’s a quarter done!
I’ll need to get signed up as an official member and return to finish this off another time…

Wiring the main 12V harness.
Of course there's a way of making everything complicated, so in my obsession of avoiding unnecessary splices and connectors I went and bought 90deg "flag" spade connectors for H4 sockets only to find those can't be crimped with normal pliers.
Luckily pliers are cheap and nowadays I know how to use an angle grinder.
