Nomdeb<p>Throwing this out to fediverse. As I handled my FIL and now just MIL’s medical records, bills, insurance for them I am finding so many errors. Info overlooked, overpayments, etc. Wondering if there’s good software for tracking medical history AND billing AND insurance, etc. I have done a few searches but am really only finding health apps. I want a head start on compiling hubby’s and my medical history and billing so we don’t end up in the mess my in-laws did. <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/medical_data" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>medical_data</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/medicalsoftware" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>medicalsoftware</span></a></p>

It has been hilarious and frustrating as a non-clinician to see how many conversations along the lines of "what do you mean it can't do that???"</p>
Jerry on Mastodon<p>I got a secure message reminder about a TELEPHONE appointment with my doctor coming up. And it has the following 2 instructions:</p><p>Please do not come into the office - this is a telephone appointment<br> <br>To protect the health of patients and our staff, we screen for COVID-19 ahead of appointments using questionnaires presented during our pre-registration process and/or by telephone. -- I'm required to complete it.</p><p>If you were the Product Owner at the company that made this software, and you noticed this, what would you do?</p><p><a href="https://hear-me.social/tags/MedicalSoftware" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MedicalSoftware</span></a> <a href="https://hear-me.social/tags/SoftwareDevelopment" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SoftwareDevelopment</span></a> <a href="https://hear-me.social/tags/SoftwarEengineering" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SoftwarEengineering</span></a> <a href="https://hear-me.social/tags/QualityAssurance" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>QualityAssurance</span></a></p>
Chuck Darwin<p>Free software in medical aids helps the patient, the environment, and the healthcare system. </p><p>After all, the software in hearing aids, insulin pumps and pacemakers controls parts of our body. We should be allowed to control it. </p><p>Software in medical aids has to respect our freedom! Free software can make the medical device last longer. </p><p>The free software community can fix bugs and provide updates so that patients are not left at the mercy of the companies. </p><p>Then, patients can choose to repair their device instead of throwing it away. </p><p>Last but not least, long-time support can save the healthcare system and its patients lots of money</p><p><a href="https://c.im/tags/fsf" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>fsf</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/medicalsoftware" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>medicalsoftware</span></a><br><a href="https://www.fsf.org/blogs/community/software-that-supports-your-body-should-always-respect-your-freedom" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">fsf.org/blogs/community/softwa</span><span class="invisible">re-that-supports-your-body-should-always-respect-your-freedom</span></a></p>
