Today marks our 1,000th daily science fact!

About two and a half years ago we posted a little science fact about Jupiter's great red spot - just for fun - and it looked so good we made a few more, posted one a day for a week, and thought that'll be that.

...then a month went by ...and another ...then we noticed we were getting close to a year, and then that became year two. Now here we are in the middle of our third year of a science fact a day, and we wanted to thank you for joining us for 1,000 days of science!

What a difference a day makes. Grey today. If I was mixing paints: for acrylic notice the very light tint of blue at the top, I would use a wash of tiny amount of Mars black with white and a small tiny amount of cerulean blue with lots of medium. Increase the amount of blue as we go down. For watercolour hardly any paint at all. Wet the paper. Just some neutral tint and a Zbukvic cool grey almost smoke consistency dabbed here and there. #photosfromabackdoor #oneaday #photo
