Author Buzz Developer Blog<p><strong>FAIR package manager</strong></p><p>The Linux Foundation has <a href="https://www.linuxfoundation.org/press/linux-foundation-announces-the-fair-package-manager-project-for-open-source-content-management-system-stability" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">announced the FAIR package manager for WordPress</a>. This will be an independent and neutral plugin and theme package manager.</p><p>One of the features of FAIR is the ability to deactivate Gravatar avatars, which means a slightly reduced privacy leak (depending on how much you trust Gravatar).</p><p>As a result, I’m carefully considering making the switch for all sites with Author Buzz UK. It's Richie<p>Package Manager for Markdown</p><p>I'm working on a project that is intended to encourage folk to make markdown text files which can be bundled together in different bundles of text files using a package manager. </p><p>Question for coders; Which package manager would you suggest I use?</p><p>Main criterias (in order) are:</p><p>1. Even that never worked for me. I always have to resort to `rpm-ostree` and then uninstall it so BootC can update the system. Di<p>Time to fetch my files like projects and config files from various places using git, rsync, Airdrop, or remote file sharing plus Finder.</p><p>Set up the `~/.config/` git repo. Install oh-my-zsh. Set up universal ctags. Add symlinks.</p><p>Set up `notify` command. I use this in lots of utility scripts like break timers and Alfred workflows.</p><p>Brew install tech-specific and project-specific packages e.g. python, ruby, language servers, deployment tools.
