Élodie BouchetDepuis fin août, j’ai travaillé à la planification d’un nouveau roman, dont le titre (sauf contrordre) sera Forge et étincelles. À ce stade, je n’ai pas écrit un seul mot du texte, mais j’ai une assez bonne idée de ce qu’il contiendra en terme d’univers, personnages et intrigue !De quoi ça va parler ?Nina rêve d’intégrer les ateliers royaux, pour assurer son avenir de forgeronne. Elanor cherche au contraire à fuir le formalisme de la cour, ce qui l’oblige à dissimuler la puissance magique de son familier. Leurs plans se voient chamboulés quand d’étranges dérèglements magiques attirent des dragons en ville. Ensemble, sauront-elles comprendre ce qu’il se passe et rétablir l’équilibre ?En résumé : une fantasy médiévale écrite depuis le point de vue de deux adolescentes, dans un univers plein de magie et de mystères.Petit bilanOn ne va pas se mentir, ces planifications ont été plus longues que ce que j’espérais. En même temps, le mois de septembre est toujours bien trop chargé à mon goût (et celui de cette année a été particulièrement vicieux). Ceci étant dit, je suis très satisfaite des idées que j’ai eues et de la façon dont je les ai agencées. Mine de rien, j’ai 45 000 signes dans mon fichier de construction d’univers, en comptant règles de magie, fiches personnages et bouts d’intrigues divers… Ça fait un beau point de départ !Pour parvenir à ce résultat, j’ai bien évidemment passé de nombreuses heures à me perdre sur des sujets divers sur internet… Cette fois-ci, je me suis intéressée aux différentes techniques de forge (je vous conseille les vidéos de forge médiévale, ça a un côté hypnotique !), aux propriétés de divers métaux, ainsi qu’aux caractéristiques des lépidoptères (et plus particulièrement des papillons). Apprendre plein de nouvelles choses (même si toutes ne serviront peut-être pas), ça fait partie du plaisir des planifications !Et après ?Comme d’habitude, je vais me laisser quelques mois pour laisser le projet reposer (avec un peu de chance, Muse me suggérera spontanément des idées d’améliorations avant que je m’y remette).
