I wonder how people live that they do not even have 3 days worth of supplies.
When we lived on a boat at anchor, we'd usually have at least 1 month of supplies aboard and 3+ if we'd be content eating dried pasta and canned food.
In a house or flat, with a freezer and more space, maybe a cellar, this is easier than on a boat.
It also saves money. Buying in bulk and stocking up during sales.

It’s amazing to me just how far ahead of every other VPS provider Hetzner is in terms of server provisioning times. ~2× faster than their nearest competitor. They’re wiping the floor with the rest. For an industry obsessed with performance, this must be very embarrassing for their competitors.
