The prompt is Quick

Quicksilver Messenger Service was the epitome of the #SanFrancisco #60s #psychedelic band. Describing San Francisco/ #JamBands as having folk, jazz, and classical influences has become a cliche, and as much as it applies here, it falls short in describing their sound. There’s a sweetness (it's not a bad thing) and lightness to their sound, maybe imparted by the way they used keyboards and by their use of flute that to me set this particular band of hippies apart.

There’s apparently controversy about whether future lead singer #DinoValenti was involved when they first formed, and disagreement about when he (re?)joined in 1969, whether that was the downfall of the group or its elevation to a new creative peak, but it’s the latter form of the band that had more commercial success, and what I think of as #QuicksilverMessengerService.
