The lyric's from Circle of Dust's Machines of Our Disgrace
Instead of exposing myself to the madness of going to the Expo 25 thing while staying in Osaka, I did the much more relaxed, cheaper and probably more interesting alternative and visited the Expo 70 memorial park. I praised the sun and marvelled at the miniatures. Recommended for everyone liking retrofuture and the time where we still believed technology is here to save the day.
Stardream is a narrative game set in a retro-futuristic Space Age world, where you play as a taxi driver aboard a massive space ark, unexpectedly drawn into an investigation that uncovers dark and long-hidden secrets.
@mantissa the morning blur and the small size on my iPhone make the destination sign look like a retro camera brand logo. Wonder what the font is. The gray contrast between rooftop, side panel and hinge add to that aesthetic. Like a retro camera with the parts out of context or something. Had to look twice while scrolling to understand what I am looking at. Fascinating shot. #photography #retrofuturism
Imagine how insane it'd be if you could carry 320 gigabytes with you? That's just crazy talk!
Johnny Mnemonic's front cabinet art. Poor Johnny has seen better times.
Also ... Johnny who? Silverhand?!
I want this for the retrofuturist movie I will never actually make.
It is currently up for _free_ on #seattle Craigslist and would make one hell of a set piece if you are that sort of person.

I loved this show as a kid who watched first run #70s and #80s shows on small TVs.

Vangelis "Blade Runner" – 1982
A hauntingly beautiful score that captures the neon-drenched melancholy of Ridley Scott’s dystopian vision. Vangelis blends analog synthesizers, ambient textures, and noir-infused melodies to craft one of the most iconic soundtracks of all time. Futuristic yet deeply emotional...
I have a bad feeling about this.
