I love the drive along Lake Superior in Northern Ontario. There are so many gems along the way. This picture doesn't do it justice. In fact, this picture didn't turn out at all! So, like the previous pic, I edited this one with #gimp and made a rustic effect that I am content with.

#Rustic #Forest, 2021

This was one of those days where I was excited to take wonderful photos in a forest I was visiting, only to find out most of the photos I took didn't turn out as the exposure and filter were all wrong. I decided to play around with this anyhow and ended up liking the rustic effect, like an old photo. You can be the judge. All a part of the journey, nonetheless.

#Shadow #silhouette of me in front of our #ancient wood #stable door from my grandfather's former farm. The #rustic, solid arolla pine boards of the #door tell a long history, showing numerous signs of aging. The door tells history over several hundred years. The new door frame is made of larch wood. The partially visible round handmade indentation on the stone in front of the door has a long and interesting history as well.

This image shows the shadow of a person cast onto an old wooden door made of arolla pine boards, which were originally part of a stable. The door has a weathered and rustic appearance, with visible cracks, knots, nail holes, and signs of aging. There is an old metal keyhole on the right side, adding to its antique charm. Sunlight creates a strong contrast between the shadow and the textured wood, emphasizing the rough, natural grain of the surface. The bottom of the door is reinforced with an additional wooden plank.
