Artist Transforms Pieces of Scrap Metal Into Animal Sculptures via My Modern Met [Shared]

Artist Leah Jeffrey, better known as Bruised Reed Studio, gives scrap metal a new life. She uses discarded materials to create exquisite modern sculptures of animals such as birds, frogs, rabbits, and more. These welded pieces lovingly depict different fauna while also maintaining some of the unique characteristics of the individual parts including gears and mesh wire.

Found some legs for the BBQ.

No idea what they were before, looks like maybe a roof for a tractor (imagine it having some canvas across the top frame).

Also a wheel, as per @mcSlibinas' recommendation. Maybe a bit large?

Some sketchy guys with a trailer came by the gate today. Looking to buy up scrap metal. What their price was, I asked, knowing that it's €2.50 per kg wholesale.

70 cent he said. I said kthxbye. But then ended up selling them two dead car batteries, because their price for those was not as silly and at least they're not taking up space in the garage anymore.

They also nosed around entirely too much but did not like our CCTV cameras. So looks like we got the right advice about installing them.

Came across this monster in the bush: I heard it was once a school bus turned into a food truck turned into a camper.
Scrap metal now.

Norfa had some nice sausages on sale, which led to this improvised BBQ.

Steel trough (probably used to feed swine), chiseled out the cement someone mixed in it before, put it on two plow/harrow rests. One a bit shorter, so bricks to help.

A grille from an old refrigerator and one I found under a rotten door on the barn floor, rust beaten/brushed off and sterilized with fire.

Even found my old tongs from many marina winter BBQs.

It's already eaten and was delicious.

Not quite sure what this bush identifies as, but it seems to grow well when fertilized* with a disintegrating sack of used aluminium profiles.

Picked them up anyways. Like the bush, not quite sure what the alu profiles are either. Probably some kind of fastening strips for putting tiles or wood siding on?
