This boss was kinda annoying but I actually beat it faster than the Watcher Knights, so I am not complaining!

LB; Mortal Shell is a very competent #soulslike. Once you learn to manage the hardening mechanic it gets quite easier to progress, and combat becomes quite one-noted, but the basics are quite well designed: combat is weighty, bosses are fairly good (with one of them having a very interesting design and being lots of fun), and some of the areas are absolutely stunning.

Also, be aware, this game has one of the most brutal sections I've encountered in any soulslike so far.

I got to try out Mortal Rite on Steam Early Access, and the experience wasn't very memorable. I can't recommend it at this time.
