🇬🇧 Since April 20th was not only the 35th anniversary of the #FireEmblem series, but also the 20th anniversary of FE: Path of Radiance, I found myself thinking back to this wonderful game again. In honor of this occasion, let me share an absolute gem from PoR's #soundtrack for #VGMWednesday: Life Returns!
Also known as the Galdr of Rebirth, it plays during the credits as well - and you can just picture the herons singing this ethereal, hauntingly beautiful song! 😊

Holy cow, this was a bit tricky. Earlier tonight, I had found some "Space Quest" disk images from an old Apple IIgs. I wanted to check them out in ScummVM.

First, I had to find a way to extract the data from these A2R images, then rename and collect all of the necessary files. Took me quite a while to get the in-game music playing, but in the end ... everything worked! The game's soundtrack on the IIgs is glorious! It's even better than what's possible on the Amiga!

As proof that I still exist, here's another piece of original score from my 2022 game "WHITE LIGHT". Lighting & color transitions in this video are cued to what's happening in the scene, I just set the camera away from the action, because it's basically the end of the game, and I'd rather not spoil it.

I recorded some instrumentation live and programmed the rest with Dreams' excellent sound design suite.

:blobcatgamer: Art of Rally’s OST is supposedly so good that people who bought the game and stopped playing are still listening to it… Don’t know if it’s true, but I absolutely believe it.

The soundtrack is made by Tatreal, a Ukrainian artist who does a lot of synthwave racing soundtracks. This one is $5 for almost 60 full length tracks, and it slaps. :ablobcatrave:

We are in the lab! Managed to get about 20 minutes of raw material dropped today for mangling in the next Broke and Dirt sound and loop sample volume.

80% of my medical specialists think drumming when I can is net gains for mental energy and physical therapy for the parts that work. Don't tell that grumpy one. Fuck that guy. We out here oontz'n.

Krass! Die habe ich auch & wäre allein nie drauf gekommen, dass das von Hans Zimmer ist! Zugegeben, meine CD ist schon etwas eingestaubt, aber sie wird gleich abgespielt. Ich mag den Soundtrack sehr. Den Film selbst habe ich noch auf VHS 🤭
