Tides of Annihilation certainly took some inspiration from Elden Ring, Shadow of Colossus or Lies of P - the visuals and battle effects are stunning. And it has Jennifer English (Shadowheart's VA from #BG3) on board. It's not a Soulslike but more of an action RPG targeted at more casual gamers, with difficulty modes, 4 different weapon types and simpler controls. Planned for 2026, so a lot of things can still change.

#stateofplay Freue mich vor allem auf Directive 8020. Man of Medan, deren erstes Dark Anthology-Spiel, fand ich gelungen, knackig, kurz, cheesy. House of Ashes wartet noch in meinem Pile of Joy und Directive 8020 scheint sich thematisch gut anzuschließen. Allerdings ist The Quarry, ebenfalls von Supermassive, auf der PS5 ein 30fps-Spiele. Ich habe es deshalb abgebrochen. ich hoffe, dass 8020 hier besser abliefert. Das SciFi-Raumschiff-Setting gefällt mir nämlich sehr gut.

This #StateofPlay was largely disappointing aside from some smaller. promising indie titles (awesome to see PixelJunk and Housemarque in the mix).

I actually did a double take when it ended, saying "is that IT?"
