We have a Strategic Tine Out with Rajasthan Royals needing 101 from four overs and the last pair at the crease together. Doesn't quite pip the one when scores were level with four overs to go and the batting side had lost only two wickets, but it is another one for the list of IPL absurdities.

Third wicket gone for Rajasthan Royals, Nitish Rana for 9 (11) to make it 41-3. Rajasthan Royals heavy favourites to join CSK on the eliminated list (with seven group stage losses there is a chance of qualifying on net run rate, with eight you are definitely gone, and this will be RR's eighth loss of the campaign)

That is Rajasthan Royals seventh defeat of this IPL, which means that to qualify they need two things to happen:
1)They must win all their remaining matches
2)And even then they will be dependent on their net run rate being good enough to win a split tie because seven wins and seven losses will not be enough to qualify other than on net run rate..

Farooqi off the mark, but that single means that his side need 14 off the last two balls. Deshpande gets a single and it is 13 needed off one ball. Another singkle off the final ball and it is 194-9, giving RCB a win by 11 runs. Royals were 188-5 with two overs left, and have scored 6-4 in those two overs to throw this match away.

No hat trick, but it is another dot - a brute of a ball for Hasaranga to deal with. 17 needed off seven balls. The last ball of the over is another dot, and suddenly Royals need 17 off the final over to win. Hazlewood 4-0-33-4, including 2-1 in that penultimate over of the match.
