The #Taoiseach, #EU Commissioner, and #Transport Ministers have officially opened Platform 6 at Kent Station, #Cork, the first project of Ireland’s €1 billion+ Cork Area Commuter Rail Programme. Funded by the EU’s Recovery and Resilience Facility, the €23 million platform is a key step in tripling Cork’s rail capacity and enabling services every 10 minutes. Alongside the Glounthaune to Midleton twin-track and signalling upgrades (due by 2026), it will expand services on the Cobh, Midleton, and Mallow lines. The platform will begin phased operations with Intercity and Midleton services. The wider programme, Ireland’s largest-ever investment in Cork’s rail network, will provide a more frequent, sustainable, and integrated system, supporting new stations, future electrification, and the Cork Metropolitan Area Transport Strategy (CMATS).

Mirror image of all the gentile fedi posts saying who is or isn't a Jew. The rhetorical overlap between the goofball left and the maniacal right about Jewishness is astounding.

"Donald #Trump labeled Sen. Chuck #Schumer (D-N.Y.) a "#Palestinian" during a strange meeting with #Irish #Taoiseach Michaél Martin on Wednesday afternoon.

"Schumer is a Palestinian, as far as I'm concerned," Trump stated, referencing Schumer's vocal opposition last year to the #Israeli regime that has bombarded the #Gaza Strip in an explosive act of retaliation since the #Hamas invasion of #Israel on Oct. 7, 2023.

Schumer himself is #Jewish, but, while he still supports the concept of Israel — which would make him a #Zionist — he doesn't support the administration of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin #Netanyahu, whom he accused of "turning away from a two-state solution" in a fiery Senate statement."

thanks to former CESI Chair Conor MacLiam for arriving at last thursday's CESI Open Café event with a batch of old CESI newsletter for our growing archive - this one from Spring 1998 shows our current , Michael Martin was then the Minister for Education hosting talks with CESI about Schools IT2000
