One particularly weird “instrument” is used on that #music #track is technically a guitar pedal, the #adrenalinn by Roger Linn (of Linn Drum fame). It is primarily an effect pedal, processing the input using a variety of modulations and fx. It has midi in/out and can send start/stop/midi clock (which i used to sync the #tr606 and #tb303). But on top of that, it also incorporates a drum machine of sorts. I also used that functionality to add variety. #jamuary #synth #midi @music

In the end i did end up using the #tb303 for my latest #jamuary2025 track, in a dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde dual use. From borderline mysterious #ambient electronic bassist to intransigent #techno screaming banshee, it ended up filling its role perfectly, after sidetracking me for hours. #tb303 #tr606 #adrenalinn #sequentialcircuits #sixtrak #crumar #bit99 #hammond #novachord
That’s the trouble with the 303. You spend the next 2 hours turning these knobs. I’ve yet to start on the track i wanted to record. I guess I’ll get back to #jamuary tomorrow…

Can't remember the last time I bought new CDs. Now that I have a office space with my CD players and shelves for this, it's refreshing to hold pieces of plastic filled with sounds from the Silver Box.
1/2: I am working on an update to the #jc303 #opensource #tb303 #plugin by #midilab. Specifically, I've added #sequencer and #distortion controls.
I would like to ask you #musician (s), #musicproducer (s) and #linuxaudio users if you would like to have the nostalgic element of the old #ui, the #acid #smiley, re-introduced in this #update.
