mindsConnected<p>So I have this problem with my <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Samsung" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Samsung</span></a> WB150 digital compact camera, where I see this black smudge on the lens and suspect there's internal damage to it somewhere, not long after I had dropped it accidentally (well, slipped out of my hand actually). Seph :verified: VOTED<p>So, here's one for the <a href="https://social.xcetera.biz/tags/linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>linux</span></a> nerds and computer geeks, tell me what's wrong with my HD and if'n it's fixable. External SSD, EXT4 formatted, works fine on Linux, albeit a bit slow to mount, but both <a href="https://social.xcetera.biz/tags/android" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>android</span></a> and <a href="https://social.xcetera.biz/tags/osx" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>osx</span></a> say the drive is unreadable. While I'm not sure about OS X, I do know Android is compatible with EXT4, so I'm at a loss as to what's wrong and how to fix it. Long run I might replace the drive with an external M2 unit, but not sure.<br><a href="https://social.xcetera.biz/tags/technicalsupport" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>technicalsupport</span></a></p>
Rihards Olups<p>My take on technical support years ago was that users could be expected to ask mostly questions they cannot find in documentation.<br>This was based on opensource ethics, and still seems reasonable there.</p><p>But for commercial support, my take has shifted.</p><p>1/3</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/TechSupport" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TechSupport</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/TechnicalSupport" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TechnicalSupport</span></a></p>
