A very large and mature tree with dark green leaves. It has a rounded shape and branches down to within a few feet of the ground so just a small amount of the large trunk is visible. The trunk has a wide bade. It is a sunny day and there are shadows on the grassy field in which the tree stands. The sky is blue with a few white clouds. There are other trees and a hedge in the background.

Im Zentrum des Hochkantfotos eine riesige Buche, deren Stamm helle Flecken von der durch die grünen Blätter scheinenden Sonne hat. Dahinter weitere Bäume - aufgrund der Weitwinkel-Aufnahme von leicht unten schwebt die Baumkrone über allem und die anderen Bäume scheinen alle auf einen Punkt außerhalb des Bildes ausgerichtet.

Along the edge of a creek, a thick tangle of tree roots hovers about six inches above the water, the creek having presumably eroded the dirt around them. The roots are coated in a layer of moss, themselves coated in a layer of pine needles, and the surface of the creek reflects the sun & shadows of the trees above.
