My house is as ready for painting as I can make it. Tomorrow morning the spackling begins.

I can only imagine the amount of dirt that will be revealed when the bookshelves and file cabinets are pulled away from the walls. 😳
#Today

I dropped my grandson off at a zoo class today. Then, I did a little wandering in the zoo.
I am still dragging from my end of February virus/pneumonia.
So, I walked to the giraffe building and sat down on a bench to watch them. It was so calm and peaceful. Until I started coughing (their hay, I think). I left because there was a couple trying to enjoy the peace.
I walked to the elephant's building. I got to watch the keepers work with Ruth - inspecting her trunk and her feet. She turned around on command, and they swept the bottoms of her feet, making sure all looked good.
Then Brtittany was let out into the larger area, and she enjoyed some veggies, hay, and water.
I left before Belle came out. It's a slow process, and there's no place to sit down.
The ladies looked healthy and happy. I took my leave of the zoo and have been puttering and napping.
Grandson will be here soon to tell me about his day. 🥰

Excitement of the day #today. National Grid installing a new power line pole on the border banking of our house.

As usual with my excitements, it didn't last long - they were all done in about an hour, just the two of them.

I think Thursday is the day for people coming to change the lines over to the new one and remove the old pole. Apparently the old one has been there since 1962 - it was pronounced 'healthy' by a company man inspecting it only three months ago, but I guess they've found a pile of poles they had to use up or something.

We're home now from this morning's TaiChi (me) & gym session (Sacha) - we had a co-op meal deal picnic at the allotment. I got a few small allotment type jobs done while we were there.

Sacha has got a doctor's appointment otherwise we might have spent longer there. Rain kept threatening but never came to anything.

I've got a tricky email to compose, so I need to have all my facilities for the next half hour or so!

A simple day of simple job (not work) tasks #today. I’ve meetings in the arvo, and plans for dinner later on. In the meantime, resting these flare-weary bones and preparing for april.

It looks like $FAMILY will return to get her masters, though now in another state’s university system. I will admit to a certain municipal pride at hearing how—despite her distaste for all that is carioca otherwise—she lamented the unserious passionlessness of that other state’s academe. Ha! 🐬✨

A new day. A new chance to succeed.

My Practice seems to be developing.

Slowly as the season unfolds. A little warmer each day after what feels like a long cold winter of discontent. So little progress each day that it seems like nothing changes.

But if I use a wider lens, the picture changes.

The grasses are greening up. Most of the maples and aspens are budding. Spring flowers have begun pushing aside the winter soil.

I hope you gain a fresh perspective on your day #today
