Every year the Lungo il Tevere festa goes on in Rome along the banks of the Tiber River. I always wanted to go but never did before 2022. It was fun strolling along getting some reprieve from the sometimes suffocating heat of a Roman summer (it hit 41ºC this last summer!).

This #PhotoOfTheDay is the tomb of James Butler of Polestown, a medieval Gaelic warlord and knight. It lies in St Mary's Church (14th c.) and was carved by the famous O’Tunneys of Callan.
