“For the Democrats, the decision to censor the Palestinian voice was not just morally wrong. It was politically stupid…Harris…must know that of those three-quarters of a million uncommitted ballots, 100,000 came from Michigan…considered a toss-up.”

The Guardian · Democratic voters want Kamala Harris to stand up for Palestinians. Will she?By Guardian staff reporter

#Uncommited #Uninstructed, you can call them however you want, despise them till your last rant, call them traitors or accuse them of giving Trump the election on a golden plate, it is not like they haven't warned this administration.

From November on, they warned DNC their vote shouldn't be taken for granted when their fellow Palestinian human brothers and sisters were being slaughtered.
They clearly said POTUS Biden his unconditional support of Israel deeds and enabling current genocide by keeping on giving away bombs to the far-right government will cost him their votes.

Nonetheless, not only did Biden defend Israel, even when blowing mosques, churches, hospitals or schools, but he sent his dogs and legal system to trample down US youth and intellectuals that dared taking the side of justice and humanity, the side for peace in Palestine.

It would have been so easy and costless for this administration to give some rope and one or two subjects of satisfaction to the people on their left, some consideration even.

Now that they have to deal with unexpected problems, like Biden's "difficulties" in public, they could do without the "uncommited" and BDS "issues". But this one, they saw it coming for almost a year.

The Intercept · Whether It’s Biden or Someone Else, Gaza Remains Top Priority for “Uncommitted” VotersBy Akela Lacy
Continued thread

I’ve been thinking how, while #uncommited does put pressure on Biden, it has a bit of a silver lining: as well as giving him chance to course correct, it encourages people who might have stayed home in either election, to vote for him later; or at least, their representatives.

— ‘Minnesota had eight days from when the campaign publicly launched [and] $20,000 … once volunteers started calling people, they heard from voters who planned to stay home and instead would turn out for uncommitted.’

So far the #uncommited vote is around 5% of general Election voters who would vote for Biden under other circumstances. He knows we are essential to win. That's why he's shifting his position. I will be voting against Trump in the general no matter what aka voting for Biden, but i don't have to do that in the primary to save the nation

100,000 people is pretty good imo. Especially since a ton of people don't vote in the primaries.

I'm happy that we got so many people to vote #Uncommited in Michigan. I'm happy that all of the mainstream news orgs are reporting on it, and are mentioning that it's to protest Biden's complicity in the violence in Gaza.
