The Seven Voyages Of Steve<p>OK I completely missed the <a href="https://mastodon.gamedev.place/tags/unreal" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>unreal</span></a> Gameplay Effect option "Periodic Inhibition Policy" in the past, and it makes everything so much easier. I was previously manually handling starting/stopping of periodic gameplay effects so that I could control the timer reset when they were blocked / unblocked (by tags, natch). I'd noticed that after unblocking the next tick was too random depending on when you interrupted it. But there's a goddamn option just to fix how the timer is reset when that happens 🤦‍♂️</p>
