The Original Stripey Goodness<p>OK, speaking of <a href="https://meow.social/tags/Valheim" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Valheim</span></a> <br>I've been playing on <a href="https://meow.social/tags/Linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Linux</span></a>, using <a href="https://meow.social/tags/Steam" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Steam</span></a>, in <a href="https://meow.social/tags/Sway" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Sway</span></a> (<a href="https://meow.social/tags/Wayland" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Wayland</span></a>, obv.) and while I have an <a href="https://meow.social/tags/NVidia" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>NVidia</span></a> GPU, it doesn't seem to be getting used? Yes, it's an older GPU, but even at around 10FPS on the lowest quality video settings, I'm consistently only getting about 12 FPS, which... it's less fun. It's still playable for somebody like me who is an old and doesn't really do a lot of high-FPS gaming or whatever (as you can tell) but I'm genuinely wondering what I'm doing wrong.</p><p>Anybody have any tips? The usual googling turns up lots of "won't launch" but that isn't the problem I'm having.</p>

Raft is terrible to control compared to the Karve and Longship.</p><p>Note: Don't fall overboard when a serpent is close by!</p>

I have sailed on both rafts and sailing boats and the mechanics and playability of sailing in <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/valheim" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>valheim</span></a> are a good match. I do not really get the hate that sailing in Valheim gets, except for the grindyness.</p>

Oh gosh.<br><a href="https://meow.social/tags/Valheim" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Valheim</span></a> seems to have a somewhat usefully realistic 'point of sail' mechanic!<br>I built a raft, just to fart about, not really expecting that I'd have to do anything other than point it in a direction and just go, but to my delight, I had to actually account for the direction of the wind and set on a proper heading.<br>On the raft, tacking doesn't quite work, and I assume that this is either because a more-capable vessel is required, or because being in irons is being in irons, and the inertia of the boat may not be taken into account.<br>Given my experience in finding the point-of-sail mechanic - and pumping the rudder! - I am optimistic that maybe the next boat up will be able to tack.</p>

A full, functional labyrinth. All harvested stone, no shortcuts. </p><p>There is a gjall moaning somewhere nearby, which kind of ruins any meditative calm one might otherwise get by treading the labyrinth.</p>

Fratm<p>I know what i need to do in the mistlands, I have to upgrade my gear (pretty much done), and find the seal breaker parts. That's what is making it so hard, I think those parts are only in the infested dungeons, and I am having a hell of a time finding those.. As the sun set, I snapped a nice shot of my tower. There are some messages that I'd like to send to the troll population on my island, but they do not seem to pick up on it.</p>
