Rule of thumb: if a company operating in a highly technical scientific space chooses to release its progress reports or results in an "exclusive" with a mainstream media outlet, rather than via a scientific journal, it's not a scientific company. It's a financial grift.

The value of the #Fediverse isn’t in the tech specs. It’s not in the #ActivityPub protocol or the code itself, those are tools. The value lies in the culture that birthed it. The #Fediverse is the living embodiment of the #openweb, not some #VC Silicon Valley plaything. But as money floods in, as #mainstreaming forces try to turn it into another hollow platform, we risk losing the very thing that makes it powerful, its strong decentralized, trust-based roots. The looming battle is […]

Trying to "democratize" capitalism (ESPECIALLY venture capital) is like trying to make fire out of water. It's a contradiction in terms. The _structure_, the _artifact_ of #vc is broken and undemocratic.

Until tech workers realize this, we're gonna make 0 progress.

Like it becomes a point of contention, because first you'll have to dispel the arms race - and not that I don't think that's dumb, but humans are all incredibly dumb to begin with.

Guarantee me that someone won't come in and eat up my future with #AI - even despite the bubble that will hit us all inevitably. The thing is you can't.

But also, this is more of a fault of venture #capitalism - again - and you can't really skirt around that issue.

#VC gonna VC and disappoint, as usual.

....value anymore.👈 The future of #Matrix always seems somehow, em.. unconfirmed? An interesting project. I wonder where it will go. There's been a LOT of #VC [#VentureCapital] funding up to now, one might assume some return is expected at some point. Maybe not though. I've run #Jabber servers in the past,...

This framework could, in theory, generate minimal synthetic organisms with novel properties, design specialized microorganisms for bioremediation or medical applications, or create semi-synthetic cells with expanded genetic codes that can produce novel proteins not found in nature.

The key innovation would be the AI's ability to work with the expanded GATCA system while maintaining biological coherence across scales from individual genes to whole-organism function.

I recon, I need about 1 Billion to spin up a viability evaluation project.
I could pick up some unemployed US scientists from the curbside for next to nothing.

So #VC folk, if you want to hop onto the #AI bandwagon, strap a rocket sled onto it, and get so fast ahead of the pack you leave any Ethics or morality behind, drop me a DM!

Pros: Attention Transformers encoded into Synthetic Bio Life.
