I've reached this point where I know Big Tech is useless unless I can free it from corporate greed with Linux and GrapheneOS.

Big Tech is like digital colonialism, siphoning creativity and exploiting consumers for profit while deepening inequality. These corporations treat individuals as mere resources in their relentless pursuit of profit.

Platforms like TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and all those other platforms are just tools for Big Tech to exploit us. They're trash.

When will you stand up against their exploitation? Look at the harm they cause!

There's huge amount of obvious AI-generated junk propaganda and disinformation on #Youtube. Huuuge. Google/Alphabet corp seems entirely happy to host the deluge of toxic waste on their platform. 🤷‍♂️

Earlier I did a "today" search there (not signed in) for the latest "trump town hall" events and came across a cluster of different accounts named "something something *Stories*" that featured cheesy AI-generated screenshots of Trump imparting 'christian' wisdoms on children... 🤮

Bitches at #Google no longer allow removing Shorts from appearing on #YouTube - I knew this was coming since previously, it was never a "hide them forever" option to begin with but rather, just, hide them for 30 days.

Now that option is simply a "show fewer Shorts" option that doesn't seem to actually show fewer of them, let alone hide them. I really need none of these short-form contents with large, ass vertical thumbnails taking up the entire half of the home feed.

Und ich schreib das jetzt immer drunter, wenn youtube verlinkt wird, auch wenn es eine einfache Alternative gibt. So.

As youtube absolutely wants me to use automatic subtitles or even worse automatic speech translation (can't stand neither, and I can't opt-out that), I've configured EN-US as my main language for my google account.

Yes, there are French people who listen and understand videos in english.
And a lot of European people make videos in english regardless their nationality.

It’s interesting seeing people on #youtube with super accurate scales and a ton of gadgets to make a perfect puck of coffee at the exact temperature. Except #cofee beans themselves are an agricultural product that can vary based on many factors. Without a feel and love of the product, following an exact #recipe does not lead to the best cup of coffee.
