#Summer is around the corner in #Hongkong. In late spring birds are starting to sing loudly, many local trees are in bloom, walls and ceilings start sweating, as clouds are pushing past highrises. You can feel the humidity rising, the sounds seemingly become more muffled, everything is more strenuous and cicadas are soundtracking the mirage over city #streets and #beaches, lauding the summer days. But humans flee the heat into shady, air conditioned shelters, and come out at #sunset.

#Mongkok by night. Before the pandemic this used to be a vibrant shopping district, marked with #Hongkong s signature #neonsign s and full of small cheap stores and restaurants. Mong Kok is where you could go to grab a quick bite or get a tacky souvenir on the Ladies' Street Market. During the pandemic many shops closed and temporary 1$ type stores opened instead. Nevertheless, Mong Kok remains a food and shopping haven for many, and although the neon signs have been vanishing one by one, slowly the crowds have come back.

Chinese Australian artist Badiucao has appeared on billboards in Hong Kong saying the words "You must take part in revolution." The words are the title of his graphic novel and also a quote by Mao Zedong

Badiucao used a pseudonym to display the videos as part of Hong Kong's Art Week. In 2018 he was forced to cancel an exhibition of his work in Hong Kong due to pressure from Chinese authorities

#Hongkong is one of the last places where it is still widely in use and even the highest #skyscrapers are being constructed with bamboo scaffolding as a support. Over centuries this cheaper, more sustainable scaffolding method has been a marker of the Hong Kong #cityscape. The set-up requires the aptitude of industrial #climbers and technical skills passed down over generations.

The new meets the old(ish) - The #hongkong #skyline got an additional gem, albite a controversial one. The skyscraper "the Henderson" next to the Bank of China tower stands out with it's rounded features. The #design from Zaha Hadid #architects is supposed to "echo the #organic forms of the #natural world".
Due to other newly constructed buildings along the coastline of #Hongkongisland the view of both buildings is obstructed and they are not really visible from across the harbour anymore.

由聯合國資助調查的《世界幸福報告 2025》，昨日趁國際幸福日公布，北歐地區繼續佔據幸福榜前列，芬蘭連續八年排第一，香港排 88 創歷史新低，排名低過中、日、韓、台、新加坡。

世界幸福報告由聯合國資助機構的「可持續發展解決方案網絡」由 2012 年開始公布，調查不是以實際指標釐定，而是由調查機構隨機抽樣訪問約 1000 個當地人，由 0 到 10 分為自己目前的人生評分，然後以過去三年的平均數得出當地人的幸福指數。

今年的幸福報告中，北歐國家佔據頭四，分別是芬蘭、丹麥、冰島和瑞典，荷蘭排第 5 ，哥斯達黎加排第 6，第 7 是另一北歐國家挪威，以色列排第 8。

而香港在報告首次發表時排 67，之後都在 70 多位上落，但到最近四年逐年下跌，今年排 88 創歷史新低。台灣在亞洲國家中排名最高排 27，新加坡 34 名，日、韓分別排 55 和 58，中國亦排 68。

而全球最不幸福的國家是長年戰亂後由塔利...

單車｜公路單車亞錦賽 葉漢文相隔34年為港奪亞青公路賽金牌

2025亞洲公路單車錦標賽周四（13 日）於泰國彭世洛府進行男子青年組個人公路賽，港隊派出鍾兆剛、李昀俊、李恩浩及葉漢文上陣，最終葉漢文以2小時40分17秒奪冠，亦是繼「亞洲車神」黃金寶於1991年在此項目奪冠後，港隊相隔34年再有車手奪得亞青個人公路賽桂冠！
