@MadSc13ntist Where is the general strike action on Labour Day which is so desperately needed? We have to start standing up together for the greater good. #LabourDay #StandUp #FairWages #LivingWage #UBI

Q: Are these headlines real?
A: Yes. Same journalist, Juliana Kaplan, same publication Business Insider, on consecutive days in 2021.

Is there even a point to being a billionaire beyond the first yacht and second house? I mean why?
For you and I and most workers @darwinwoodka, accumulating money allows us to buy goods and services.
But get wealthy enough and wealth becomes *power over other people*.
The power to demand someone do particular work. The power to decide who gets to go onto this plot of land. The power to decide who's setting policy and what policies are chosen. More wealth brings more of that power.
The pursuit of that wealth, is the pursuit of control over everyone and everything.

@MadSc13ntist I hear that rich people are delicious.
@MadSc13ntist capitalism kills. Let's kill capitalism!
@MadSc13ntist Stuff to remember when those same billionaires lay the blame for people losing income and jobs on immigrants.
It’s never brought up, like ever, but how much did average working Americans with some savings in mutual funds, 401(k)’s and the like, all combined together, make in the same time period?
Had to have been in the trillions as well, as the markets all went up hugely for everyone not just billionaires, after plummeting in March 2020.
@MadSc13ntist That second number, if it's accurate, is from January 2021. The pandemic kept going for at least a year more.
