Les Coupons de St Pierre are having a sale today, so of course the fool I am I got myself a giant pile of new fabric. Or several piles.
Some of it is for planned projects, but some of it is just "because pretty", which I never do, and it's such a treat!

I have heard of Shein hauls, are fabric hauls a thing?
Maybe I should post more about the stuff I buy... a little boasting, but definitely to shame myself into buying less fabric
On which subject: stash reviews?
If people find buying new fabric interesting surely they would be interested on what you have in your stash?
@jjcelery that might backfire on the feeiverse and people tell you to buy more fabric
@BabblingGeek once they see my stash and how long it takes me to "get round" to a fabric I'm sure they'll tell me to buy less
@jjcelery yes, absolutely, will definitely watch
@jjcelery the only saving grace is a few months later when we ask you what you did with some particular fabric, you may be guilted into action...
@triploidtree few months? I am decidedly not that effective a sewist
@jjcelery i find it's two weeks or two years between receiving fabric and doing something... So like, we could check in, get that gap down...
@triploidtree I sometimes buy fabric because I know it's something special - either price point, something rare, or very unusual - and it sits in my stash... Because I'm afraid to use it
The red voile Harrison I made last year was from Indian voile I bought more than a decade ago
@jjcelery
Oh, a lot of folks who sew or quilt are into fabric hauls. I really got ahead of myself in the purchasing department at one point and have been working hard on stash-busting. I've been especially happy to have sewn several of the "good fabrics" I'd been hoarding.
@EllenInEdmonton I also confess to hoarding the "good fabric"... but it's also often "difficult" fabric and so I'm intimidated. It needs to wait for when I'm good and ready.
Also somehow the fabric I have in stash is very often not the fabric I need for upcoming projects!
Then all I can say is quelle dommage... ajouter au panier
@jjcelery what's in your stash, and how you think you'll use it
@chebe sounds terrible, the shame, the shame. How I was planning to use it, and why didn't I... That's how I think it's how it's gonna go
@jjcelery I love the, I was going to make this nice top, but turns out that pattern is awful, and life is busy, so now I'm thinking this dress, kinda stories :D
