A few weeks ago there was a crash in Monaghan with multiple fatalities. Same yesterday in Tipperary. Both times Gardaí said it was rain at fault. No, both were tragedies, but you do not get to put responsibility for deaths on what are quite normal conditions. You apply driving rules, you normalise slowing to allow for conditions, you do some policing to stop roads being race tracks where the speed limit is seen as a minimum requirement
@ronanmcd apparently wanting our kids to survive into adulthood is too much to ask for, we just have to accept that they might be randomly killed by a driver at some point and it’s an unavoidable tragedy #ThoughtsAndPrayers
