So, while I'm strongly convinced authors deserve to get fairly rewarded for their work I also want to break free of the Amazon (and more in general the #DRM) mess. I'm tired of not actually owning the content I pay for (I can't gift a book once I read it nor I can sell one I hate). Whenever possible I'll buy DRM free #ebooks (kudos for those writers who make them available!), for the others I've come to the conclusion of still downloading from other "sources" and then buy the physical version >>
>> which I will just leave somewhere for someone else to just read it and enjoy. That would be even better if books can be bought from smaller and independent stores. Another nice idea might be to just pay for the book for someone to then collect from the store? Any #bookstore owner around?
