Made another little bowl this evening. Spalted beech, wax finish.
Got the wall thickness down to 2mm at the rim down to 3-4mm at the base. Happy enough with that for this evening.

Love spalted beech! Used it for the sides of a guitar I built from a tree next to my driveway.

Looking at the left side of the lower bout of a guitar I built. The sides are made with spalted beech with white and darker brown streaks of spalting. There was an also a large knot in the side with a hole filled with epoxy. The guitar is sitting outside on low-cut green grass.
