This bug gave me a headache after evening meal, so I've been sanding down this square of wood for a #Woodwork project.
It came with large gouge marks. While you can see most of them in this light, you can barely feel them now.
My shoulders wreck from hand sanding for 1½hrs but the piece is looking much better now.
@FibroJedi Would a scraper not save your shoulders?
@markdennehy I've not heard of a "scraper" (though it sounds brutal), what is one (besides something that scrapes!) - I'm only learning woodwork really, so having to learn a lot.
If it's mechanical it might trigger my hand pain from vibrations (chronic pain crafting is annoyingly complicated at times!)
@FibroJedi It's basically a flat piece of metal about the size of an a6 sheet of paper which does the job of surface prep much much faster than sandpaper. You see them called card scrapers and cabinet scrapers depending on where you are in the world. Paul Sellers has a good video on their use:

@markdennehy Fab, thank you! I'm in the middle of a woodburning/pyrography course, so prepping my wood for the project. But it'll be good to move onto something else after.
Thanks!
