@jon can i ask you a quick question since i'm struggling to find the answer elsewhere? i'm trying to book a nightjet from paris to vienna for april/may, but it's showing as no tickets available. do you know if could this be because of the upcoming timetable change? or is it literally that everything is sold out even six months ahead?
@natashareynolds Likely tickets are only available 90 days ahead of the trip, and you are too far ahead. Will check for you now!
@natashareynolds Pfff, what a mess. The days it runs are only known until the end of April. And I can't get anything to work even in February when I am pretty sure it will not (yet) be full. Hell knows how to best know what to do here though - email or call ÖBB maybe? But FWIW I'd be astounded were it sold out - this is something else, but I am not sure what.
@jon thanks for looking! i found a tweet from OBB replying to someone and suggesting that it is an operational issue - so i'll just keep checking every day and keep my fingers crossed! usually they should be on sale up to 180 days ahead but looks like the december timetable change is creating a hot mess. https://twitter.com/unsereOEBB/status/1720323820479775054
@jon and this similar tweet, more recent... they are really cutting it fine somewhere! https://twitter.com/unsereOEBB/status/1726598953548894531
@natashareynolds Knowing how many carriages they're even going to have to operate some of these routes in 2024 is indeed not yet known, so it is a horrid mess right now. I think your strategy is correct!
