Irish Philosophy

James Ussher got his letters patent for the archbishopric of Armagh 1625. This was the last church appointment made by James I.

James Ussher also died in 1656, in the Commonwealth ruled by Cromwell. He was buried at Cromwell's order in Westminster Abbey.
