@iPJR I hadn’t copped just how horrific the reaction in the US had been in 1992. We’d got the main reports of controversies over this side of the Atlantic, like the anthem, Sinatra’s comment, the SNL pic-rip, the Bob Dylan fans booing her off etc. But I’d no idea for the last 30 years of Joe Pesci’s utterly vile reaction. The idea of a career full-stop, a total US cancelling, is new to me. I had it down as just a distinctive point in an otherwise long and varied career.
@MarkMaguire So much of the response and actions were not part of the conversation or history here, it's very strange. The Three Castles Burning podcast this week has an episode this week, with a few other little bits of info I'd not heard about either.
