@fesshole most years I bill (and get paid) €3-4k for work that never happens.

Clients start all super keen, agree the job, pay the first instalment then are never heard from again.

My terms state if a job stalls for six months or more without prior agreement it gets cancelled with zero refund. Not that I’ve ever needed to use said terms, as the client just stops responding to emails.
