I haven’t written an #introduction yet cos What am I? Living on West Coast of Ireland, born in Manchester. I finished a #PhD on the Canadian poet #AnneCarson in 2021 (can’t get work in #Lit)) I’ve been a #poet for 15 years read #poetry all my life. I’m working class, got a BA in Ancient Greek and Philosophy . Those 3 things have coloured my life. I love #histodon #bookstodon #mastodaoine I follow where #IrishTravellers lead. In another life I want to be an #engineer. Please tell me stuff.

@annetteskade I love that your PhD is on Anne Carson. She's my hero. My claim to fame is that I once rode an elevator with her and she replied to my email, ha. 
@buffyleigh Great claim to fame, in my book, Buffy! Reading Anne Carson’s work for years of a PhD completely changed my way of thinking and looking at the world. I also got to read the people she reads 
I met her once at West Cork Literature festival and just about contained my giddiness!
@annetteskade That's so wonderful! My intro to her was her translation of Sappho. Definitely played a part in me going into Classics!
@buffyleigh my BA was in Ancient Greek and Philosophy so that helped. I love those translations. All those square brackets . I love this one (Anne Carson’s translation of Sappho 12) brackets like footprints bringing you to the bare words and then away again
