Nice read. As an outsider from Sweden trying to learn Irish, I have to say that Gaeilge is a pretty difficult language when you approach it from a Germanic speaking background. I realise that I share this linguistical handicap with most people on (deliberate choice of preposition) Ireland, including the author of the article.
@projektionsyta There are a lot of challenges to learning Irish compared to other languages. Not least the fact that there is an awful lot of bad Irish on the internet.
I can imagine.
@projektionsyta If you haven't come across it, the Craic Le Gaeilge Discord server is a good place to find help and people with very, very strong Irish. They're super helpful as well.
