Another canal bridge - this takes the towpath over the junction between the River Brent and the Grand Union Canal near Boston Manor.
This was my first outing with the #konica21mmf4 lens - which is a brilliant ultrawide for #IR, though not cheap.

Here's a footbridge across the Grand Union #Canal in Boston Manor (w London). It's "probably by Thomas Telford" - the great civil engineer - and dates from 1820. Cast at Horseley Iron Works near Birmingham.
It may have taken its name from a man found hanged in #BostonManor woods, c. 17th century.

Some say infrared is all about bright sun, blue skies and summer. I do not agree.

A rather different snap to finish this set. Shot yesterday, this is Brunel's 1837 Wharnecliffe Viaduct in #Hanwell W #London carrying the main line to the west country. It's a 590nm infrared picture - a four shot panorama - taken with a new to me #konica21mmf4 lens on my full spectrum Sony A7ii.

The final shot of the River Beam as it flows through East London on its way to the Thames.
I put this through #TopazPhotoAI to denoise and sharpen, but decided to experiment with its balance colour tool (which probably has no understanding of false colour infrared) and it came up with this gold look, which I quite like.

Here's another that worked best in #monochrome. The Chase Nature Reserve follows the River Beam in E London and at times the stream breaks up in a number of channels. This is one of them.

This is the River Beam in the Chase Nature Reserve, part of Eastbrookend Country Park shot in #590nm infrared. It's a panorama shot with a #Konica 24mm f2.8 vintage lens on my full spectrum Sony A7ii.
I rather thought I was concentrating on monochrome IR snaps, but I think colour in winter can work well.
