1. Enjoyed reading Somerset Maugham's short story "The Book-Bag" while sitting in a diner eating a cheese, pepper, and ham omelette with home fries.

2. In Starbucks, the barista told me how she and her coworkers like to dip madeleines in cold foam. She gave me a free cup so I could try it out. Delicious!

Every Sunday I look back at the preceding week in kpop and pick out a music video or performance that I have particularly liked. This week I have chosen TripleS Visionary Vision – Choom.

What a difficult choice it’s been this week! Itzy – Imaginary Friend is without a doubt their most appealing track ever as far as I am concerned, while even this not much of a hiphop fan must salute the return of G-Dragon.

Nevertheless, this Choom stage wins the prize this week. The guitar led pop rock instrumental has worked on me , as have the arrangement of the vocals and the choreography. I also liked the styling, especially the decision to have all the members with shorter hair; they look so sharp!

As Loona disintegrated, I was tempted to dive into Jaden Jeong’s next project but was deterred by the NFT dimension and the worry that the size and complexity of the TripleS would be overly time consuming. Sometimes, when I watch a stage like this but cannot name any of the members, I regret my hesitancy.
