I'm feeling ambivalent about the holidays right now. If anyone wants to share their ambivalent holiday songs, I'm open.

And my favourite Christmas song! As an atheist I find Christmas if full of great songs with, as Minchin puts it, dodgy lyrics. I am thankful he wrote something this beautiful to fill the gap.
This performance is 13 years or so after Tim Minchin wrote it. He chokes up a few times, particularly on the part about his mum as I believe she had recently passed when he performed.

I have restrained myself from using my favorite festive song in any post this month—Christmas don’t be late by Alvin & The Chipmunks is the best, and I’d die on that hill.

Happy 4th Advent with one of my favourite Christmas songs, a wonderfully jazzy, bluesy version of "All I want for Christmas is you" by #JamieCullum from 2018. 
“Carol of the Bells” is actually a Ukrainian song called “Shchedryk.” Oksana Ostapchuk and Myroslava Tanska-Vikulova of @timkmak’s Counteroffensive explain the history of the song, and its significance to one American who’s volunteering in Kyiv.
