Y así ha sido al fin, casi por sorpresa, han publicado la aplicación de <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=es.gob.interior.policia.midni" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">MiDNI</a> y su <a href="https://www.midni.gob.es/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">página oficial</a>.Empresas y administración pública estarán obligadas en un año a aceptarlo como método de identificación equivalente al de la tarjeta. Mientras tanto estamos a expensas de su buena voluntad (y de que tengan la app instalada en un dispositivo para poder realizar la verificación correspondiente).El proceso de activación tiene dos fases:<ol><li><a href="https://www.midni.gob.es/InicioRegistro" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Registrar tu DNI en la web</a>: necesitas un DNI electrónico funcional y un lector de tarjetas, además de darles tu número de teléfono (donde enviarán un código de verificación) y un correo electrónico</li><li>Añadir el DNI en el teléfono móvil mediante su aplicación: deberás añadir el número de soporte y elegir una contraseña</li></ol>El proceso completo dura menos de cinco minutos si tienes el hardware necesario, el certificado del DNI al día y recuerdas su contraseña. Pero he visto tantos puntos donde la cosa puede fallar que me recorren escalofríos al pensar en registrar a usuarios de mi aula. Deberían haber simplificado el proceso y no obligarnos a disponer de ordenador y lector de tarjetas, al fin y al cabo la mayoría de teléfonos actuales cuentan con un lector NFC!He omitido las opciones de registro en comisarías (en el Puesto de Actualización del DNI), pero sí quiero destacar que podrán activártelo nada más renovar físicamente el DNI en la Unidad de Documentación de la Policía y eso es un punto muy positivo si se hace de forma automática e inmediata.Una vez completado el proceso de registro y activación, MiDNI nos ofrece tres métodos de mostrar el DNI a quien lo requiera:<ul><li>DNI edad: muestra foto, número de DNI y la información de si eres mayor de edad (no la fecha de nacimiento)</li><li>DNI simple: además de foto y número, ofrece el nombre y apellidos, la fecha de nacimiento, sexo y fecha de caducidad.</li><li>DNI completo: muestra todos los datos del DNI</li></ul>Al elegir una de las opciones tendrán un minuto para escanear el código QR de nuestra pantalla. Sin duda, creo que estos diferentes niveles de privacidad son su mayor punto fuerte.Por otro lado, en la parte negativa toca destacar que nos encontramos solo ante una equivalencia con la tarjeta física. Como tarea pendiente para el futuro está el permitirnos realizar toda clase de operaciones digitales, identificación y firma electrónica entre otros.
