My colleague Victor wrote a blog on his first EuroPython experience!
I think it’s safe to say this wasn’t his last EuroPython (and I think he will also be attending @pycon_nl next month!)

Big thanks to the EuroPython Society for their support of PyCon UK 2025!
Your involvement is central to helping us bring together a community of Pythonistas, to celebrate and connect over all things Python!

Just recovered from the intensively fun #EuroPython last week, and every time it gave me warmth from the #Python #community and kept me motivated to contribute. Here is a short recap from my perspective: https://cheuk.dev/posts/2025-07-24-europython25-recap/

Having an itch to scratch, @beeware sprint at #EuroPython and being in the middle of the AI turmoil? Here's an app I created in two days without knowing much about mobile apps: https://karolinasurma.eu/fluxus-scratching-my-itch.html
I plan to publish the code after polishing maneuvers.
TL;DR: For prototyping features LLM did surprisingly well. Complex tasks went poorly. I've got the app on my phone. I'd like to see more Python on mobile! I'm impressed.
Pretty sure #EuroPython 2025 was my top 1 fav conference ever. Just the perfect mixture of catching up with people I know, meeting people I don’t know, learning new things. Time well spent chatting w/ Python veterans and also first-timers
Volunteering there was ACE, and for #Django people, I’m thankful we got to have a booth, and birthday cake for our project
THANK YOU to everyone who was part of this - attendees, organizers, sponsors, everyone
@hjwp @anthropicai I had several people at #europython tell me exactly this. They got the most out of agents in particular by going TDD style.
I wrote up a #europython recap from last week in Prague.
Lots of discussions around AI, modern Python usage, and #PyCharm.
Also, did you know there are 20 former ice vaults along the main river in town now converted into bars and cafes? Read on to learn more .
From towns and hills to Elbe/Labe and mountains to big, empty fields. The road from Prague to Dresden is just too beautiful to miss out on. And I've finally won the lottery of random train seat assignments and got seated in the forward direction, near a window, with the view of the river.
Next year (given that #EuroPython will return to Prague in 2026) I'm contemplating going by bike. I swear I haven't stolen the idea from Matthieu and Barbara
After #EuroPython is before #WHY2025 and I just secured my DECT number the other day. Who of you will I be able to meet there? :)
This is the slide of my #EuroPython presentation about my Microdot web framework for Python and MicroPython in which I compare its size against well known frameworks.
However, Generative AI as a topic crept pretty much into every hallway conversation at #EuroPython. Even though I'm tired of hearing about GenAI and being asked what I think of it, I was surprised to find much more people than I expected aligned with my views and sharing my concerns.
I'm back from #EuroPython. I have to congratulate the organizers for including a well balanced selection of topics in the program, with a lot of options for those of us who are tired of hearing about Generative AI.
Tak EuroPython je za námi. Nevím jak to má @daria, ale tento můj týden bude myslím ve znamení makrodávkování kávy.
Sticker haul from #EuroPython
A successful #EuroPython sprint - 25 challenge coins awarded, 30 issues resolved (with a couple more in the review queue still to come), and 3 major investigations completed - including one that has the potential to resolve a long standing Briefcase issue. A huge Thank You to the EuroPython 2025 organizers, and to everyone who came along to the BeeWare sprints.
It turns out that @timothy is a huge fan of Murderbot We watched the first four episodes before I had to leave for #EuroPython and now that I'm back he has insisted that we finish the show this weekend.
New form set up during the #EuroPython sprints – share any quotes or testimonials we could reuse in Django marketing https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfkkvFZnLi_Mg_DnMwMC8g3V5ke2RnA4y4yXiTyaBU-zPFJ8w/viewform?usp=dialog
We got so many people coming by our booth just to say thank you / share how much they appreciate #Django and the community, wanted to try and capture some of this so we can make use of it in our work
I don’t think PyCon FR was mentioned at #EuroPython? It’s in 3 months, it’s
free
, it’s in Lyon (great food), very reachable by train or bike, or plane. Did I mention it’s free? https://www.pycon.fr/2025/en/ Run by @AFPy
OH AND… the CFP closes this evening! It’s bilingual English - French
Home from EuroPython in prague. Amazing people, and so fantastic to see so so many friends again, as well as making new ones.
Given me the motivation to continue the great work I'm doing, and take on some new challenges.
Most important thing I've learned you ask? Never go so long as I have again (1.5 years) without a python conference.
Today wraps up #EuroPython2025 for me. I wanted to visit the first day of the sprints, but did the same mistake as last year by having way too tight of a schedule. At least I'm in not stuck in Leipzig at 1 AM
This year was a blast! I don't know if it was objectively better, but it was better for me personally. I could overcome shyness way better than last time and made more great acquaintances It makes having to leave now even sadder, but I'm looking forward to next year's #EuroPython (and maybe some other conferences in the meantime, who knows
)
