Another cool piece of retro tech from my local Habitat for Humanity store, a Revere 16mm sound film projector. Love All the metal with baked paint and the lovely case with a speaker behind the fancy grill and a hidden compartment for wires and accessories. Very nice for the time. Love it, but no place for it. Would be great in somebody's theater room or indie theater lobby.

Today I decluttered four large outdoor rockers and their two small matching tables, two outdoor pub chairs, an American flag left here by the previous owners, pool noodles, and the ceiling fan that used to live in the kitchen. Thank god for the #habitatforhumanity #restore. They're a little Jesus-y for me, but I appreciate their mission.

Feeling really good about my mess of a workshop for a while. I picked up a very useful rolling cart/shelf at the Habitat for Humanity store for an amazing $5, that turned out not only to solve the problem I wanted it to (making my bench power tools more accessible and useful), but to provide a ton of useful storage and break a clutter logjam that's been snarling a corner of my shop for months.

My wife took me to see Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter at Cowboys Stadium 10 years ago. What an inspiring event to witness! This is footage of his & Rosalynn's speeches with a special guest: fellow US Naval Academy midshipman and Hall of Fame QB Roger Staubach. We were fortunate to have him as president & ex-president.
