The for me is Valerie by Amy Winehouse.

I would implore DJs and cover bands to take it out of rotation for a while.

I went to a wedding where they played it during the reception, then the band sang it too, and later the DJ gave it a spin also.

There are other songs, friends.

😩

#HashtagGames I don't think I'm actively annoyed by any song these days but when I was a teen my stepdad used to play Norman Greenbaum's 'Spirit In The Sky' at FULL volume in the next room in order to wake me up, and since I was on meds that made me very sleepy at the time it was always a massive struggle and I mostly just wanted to murder him and delete that fucking song from history 😂 #MostAnnoyingSong

Most Annoying Because It's Wildly Overplayed: "Hallelujah" by Leonard Cohen.

Most Annoying Because It's a Crappy Song by a Songwriter Who Can Do Much Better But It Got Super Popular Anyway: tie between "Roller Skate Song" by Melanie Safka and "Sundown" by Gordon Lightfoot.

Most Annoying Because It's Actually a Really Great Song But The Artist Who Made the Popular Version Wasn't Even Paying Attention To the Lyrics: "Me and Bobby McGee," Janis Joplin version.

Most Annoying Because It's Appallingly Sexist: "Take a Letter, Maria" by R. B. Greaves.

But really, the most annoying song ever is this, sung (to the tune of "Battle Hymn of the Republic") by a million obnoxious children on a million school buses on the way to or from a million field trips:

We know a song that gets on everybody's nerves,
We know a song that gets on everybody's nerves,
We know a song that gets on everybody's nerves,
We know a song that gets on everybody's nerves.

(Repeat over and over forever.)
