I desperately want to ignore it, and hope the problem goes away.

But cleaning the cargo bike just now, and I've started seeing fractures in the rear wheel rim. That and a pair of spokes have snapped.

#RadPowerBikes really are not as good a quality as one had been led to believe. It's not even a full 2 years old.

(And don't talk to me about warranty and service, I've got tales I could tell you)

I can get the spokes fixed, but the rim is going to be a whole other issue.

Help required.
Radwagon 4 (2yrs old, daily use).
Intermittent power failure (like 3 or 4 seconds) initially, now display (eggrider) shows a voltage drop from 54v to 21v in like ten seconds, then doesn't bother to turn on at all.

Tested without motor, lights, and sensor, and various combinations. Even replacement stock controller. All with the same result.
40a and 5a fuses on battery all are fine.
Battery level indicators show full.

General question for cyclists.
Have you ever come across a bike, or wheel, where the tyre bead is effectively rubber welded/glued to the rim of the wheel?
As in, the manufacturer of the bike decided that this was a solution, and you never get to change the inner tube.

I've literally had to carved the tire off (got a replacement), but the bead is just glued to the damn rim.

I'm putting it off, but eventually I'm going to have to replace the rear tire on my Radwagon 4.

There is a whooooole hullabaloo about Rad Power Bikes and their tires, which I wont go into.

But since the company pulled out of the EU, I'm faced with having to fit a motorcycle tire instead of a stock tire.

Upside is that it'll be sturdier and longer lasting.
Downside is less free rolling, more weight, and more power required from the motor/battery.

It’s been months since I’ve been on a ride. We had a stupid hot summer where people I know all over the world contacted me with “I saw about Phoenix on the news!” And with the bike’s rear wheel problem, my motivation was low to fix it.

When I did get to it, I got an unpleasant lesson about rear-motor eBikes, and what assholes #RadPowerBikes are, but it’s fixed and the weather is finally turning.

Very disenchanted with my #eBike, though.

Until I rode it again.

Damn, I love riding that thing.

#RadPowerBikes is a bit on my shit-list today.

•My rear rim is damaged.
•Took it to my local bike shop (GMF) and they couldn’t find a spoke wrench (4mm) to fit it, but they put it on the truing stand, and it’s got a significant bulge in it (5-8mm.) but couldn’t/wouldn’t do anything about it.
•Got junk eMail from Rad today with a link to “local service” which pointed me to another shop (The Vello) in my area.

End Part 1, Continues in Part 2

I snapped a spoke last week, emailed EU, and only got a response from a human yesterday. By which time I'd already ordered replacements from customspokes.co.uk. RPB wanted €3 per spoke, compared to 96p, and shipping was a fiver more from RPB! I know Rad are exiting the EU & UK markets, but I'm confident I'll be able to source replacements elsewhere.

Some of you know I absolutely LOVE my long tail e-cargo bike.
Today however, I got an email from the manufacturer saying they're going to be wrapping up and closing sales in the UK and EU.
If you're interested in a Rad power bike, please go check them out now while you still can. They're probably the cheapest and best value e-cargo bikes on the market.
There are still 3rd party suppliers of accessories like batteries and controllers, so I wont be left high and dry.
