Flominator<p>I was &lt;today&gt; years old, when I learned that there actually is a town called <a href="https://genealysis.social/tags/Birmingham" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Birmingham</span></a> in <a href="https://genealysis.social/tags/Alabama" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Alabama</span></a>, which means that the <a href="https://genealysis.social/tags/LynyrdSkynyrd" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>LynyrdSkynyrd</span></a> song actually doesn't refer to the place in England and suddenly makes so much more sense. I saw the place in the FamilySearch location drop-down at <a href="https://genealysis.social/tags/WikiTree" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>WikiTree</span></a>, while editing <a href="https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Haiss-31" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="">wikitree.com/wiki/Haiss-31</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p><p><a href="https://genealysis.social/tags/genealogy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>genealogy</span></a></p>
Flominator<p>I simply had to add a profile for her <a href="https://genealysis.social/tags/Rostock" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Rostock</span></a> colleague Dr. Edit <a href="https://genealysis.social/tags/Josephy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Josephy</span></a> née <a href="https://genealysis.social/tags/Zimmt" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Zimmt</span></a> <a href="https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Zimmt-5" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="">wikitree.com/wiki/Zimmt-5</span><span class="invisible"></span></a>, who later moved to Berlin with her husband, from where they were deported to <a href="https://genealysis.social/tags/Theresienstadt" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Theresienstadt</span></a>, in order to be later murdered in <a href="https://genealysis.social/tags/Auschwitz" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Auschwitz</span></a>. This was also a contribution to <a href="https://genealysis.social/tags/WikiTree" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>WikiTree</span></a>'s Auschwitz Initiative, that aims at recording all the people, who were killed in the Concentration Camp. Flominator<p>Meet Elly <a href="https://genealysis.social/tags/Mommer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Mommer</span></a>, a pediatrician from <a href="https://genealysis.social/tags/Rostock" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Rostock</span></a>, who was born in <a href="https://genealysis.social/tags/Barmen" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Barmen</span></a> (now <a href="https://genealysis.social/tags/Wuppertal" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Wuppertal</span></a>). I spent (consumed? wasted?) the last few hours researching her. Why I did that? Because she's in one (sic!) photograph, that also shows my <a href="https://genealysis.social/tags/grandma" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>grandma</span></a>, her mother, her grandma and her father. Since she's in a Rostock city directory in 1943, but missing in 1949, I wonder, if she died during WW2?<br><a href="https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Mommer-147" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="">wikitree.com/wiki/Mommer-147</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p><p><a href="https://genealysis.social/tags/genealogy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>genealogy</span></a> <a href="https://genealysis.social/tags/WikiTree" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>WikiTree</span></a> <a href="https://genealysis.social/tags/Nerdkram" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Nerdkram</span></a></p>

I just gotta say .. I hate it when I run into a WikiTree profile that was the result of a GEDCOM import. It reads like a raw data dump, and the references/sources are a rat’s nest, usually with very little meaningful content. They are typically orphaned, and take ages to clean up. Bah.
