Another striking, boldly colorful slice-of-life #MoonPhoto from the streets of #Jacksonville #FL #US by our dear #fotoFriend Bryan 🏳️‍🌈 Pixelfed (@RiversideBryan). Downtown urban scene & full frame are dominated by a huge hot air #balloon in #green, #red & #yellow on the ground being prepped for flight. The balloon is painted with a commercial fish logo with a gaping mouth. Just above, in a cloudless, light blue daytime #sky, a relatively tiny near-full #Moon quietly watches over the activity. Example of how an image of a main subject — a big balloon — can reveal within it layers & geometries of stories.

#KronoMoonPhotos curatorial update for 2025. As we head into our 2nd full year on #Mastodon (thank you all so much!) we'd like to retoot the work of photogs who want to be retooted.

@KronoMoonPhotos shares #MoonPhotos in 2 ways. We "boost" photos in the standard Mastodon way. We will continue with that.

We also like to "retoot" photos -- as we call it -- when we wrap the toot in our own retoot and comment on how beautiful the image is. The terrific moonlit photo above by @Cyclesoc is being "retooted" by us.

In 2025 we would like for our retoots to be approved by the original photographer/tooter. This can be done either by contacting @KronoMoonPhotos@Me.dm, or by simply adding our tag #KronoMoonPhoto to your photo. Once you are established as our #FotoFriend, we will assume that we are permitted to retoot your work.

Also, if there is ever a problem and you would like us to remove your image, just ask and we will take it down asap.
