Tomorrow, Laila Soueif, mother of imprisoned activist Alaa Abd el-Fattah, will be at a #MothersDay vigil opposite Downing St, London. She'll be almost 6 months without a meal, since Alaa’s sentence in Egypt ended.
Friday is also month since the call between Keir Starmer and President Sisi.
Laila switched to a partial hunger strike because she had a bit of hope. But that hope starts to fade. Even on 300 calories, she is at risk of sudden death.
